Are you an experienced dog trainer looking for extra or part-time work?
Are you a new or developing trainer looking to gain more hands-on experience, mentorship, and professional education?
Amjad & Anna Dog Training is growing, and we’re looking for the right people to grow with us.
We are looking for motivated individuals who are serious about dog training, eager to continue learning, and interested in developing their skills while working alongside experienced professional trainers.
Whether you are already training dogs professionally or are still developing your skills, we are interested in people with the right attitude, work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn.
What you’ll learn & experience
Selected candidates will have the opportunity to train alongside Amjad & Anna, learn our training approach and professional standards, shadow real training sessions, and gain hands-on experience with different dogs, owners, behaviours, and training situations.
Areas of development may include:
- Dog behaviour & learning theory
- Understanding temperament and different nervous systems
- Puppy development & socialization
- Basic and advanced obedience
- Behaviour modification
- Reactivity and challenging behaviours
- Building engagement, motivation & self-control
- Leash handling & training equipment
- Timing, pressure & communication
- Creating individualized training plans
- Dog assessments & client intake
- Client communication & coaching
- Hands-on training with different breeds and temperaments
- Shadowing real client sessions
- Professional trainer standards & responsibilities
More than teaching commands
Being a professional dog trainer is about much more than teaching a dog to sit, down, stay or heel.
A good trainer needs to learn how to read the dog in front of them, understand why a behaviour is happening, communicate clearly, and know when and how to adjust the training approach.
Every dog is different. Every temperament is different. Every nervous system is different.
The training should fit the dog — not force every dog into the same system.
Our goal is to help developing trainers build the knowledge, handling skills, timing, confidence, and experience needed to work with dogs professionally.
